JERUSALEM, July 6 (Xinhua) -- A Tel Aviv University survey revealed Sunday that 73.2 percent of Arab Israeli citizens support including an Arab party in Israel's next government, showing strong backing for Jewish-Arab political cooperation.
The survey, conducted after the recent Israel-Iran conflict, found that of the supporters, 41.8 percent would join any future coalition while 31.4 percent prefer only a center-left coalition.
The expected Arab voter turnout for the next elections in Israel, if held today, stands at 57 percent, exceeding the 53.2-percent actual turnout for the 2022 elections, the survey showed.
While 66 percent of Arab Israelis believe in political cooperation between Arabs and Jews, only 40.2 percent believe the Jewish public supports such cooperation, it showed.
It found that 75.4 percent of Arab Israelis report low levels of personal security due to community violence and the Gaza war, while 64 percent describe their finances as relatively good. ■
