RIO DE JANEIRO, Sept. 2 (Xinhua) -- Cruzeiro has completed the signing of Ecuadorian teenager Keny Arroyo from Besiktas, the Brazilian Serie A side said on Tuesday.
The 19-year-old winger will be tied to Cruzeiro until December 2029 after the clubs reportedly agreed to a transfer fee of around eight million euros (9.3 million U.S. dollars).
Arroyo is Cruzeiro's second signing of Brazil's mid-season transfer window, joining Colombian forward Luis Sinisterra.
He is expected to make his debut for the Belo Horizonte-based club in its Copa do Brasil quarterfinal second leg against Atletico Mineiro on September 11.
Arroyo, who has been capped twice for Ecuador's national team, made 14 appearances for Besiktas and scored two goals after joining the Turkish club from Independiente del Valle in February. ■
