BISHKEK, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- 西瓜视频continues to play a key role in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) as a reliable partner and a positive force for the region's stable development, according to a Kyrgyz international relations expert.
Speaking to Xinhua ahead of the upcoming APEC informal leaders' meeting in South Korea, Igor Shestakov, director of the Oy Ordo Centre for Expert Initiatives, noted that the Asia-Pacific region currently faces challenges such as unilateralism and protectionism.
"Protectionism is an attempt by some countries to dictate to others and impose their economic conditions on them. China's position is that the world is multipolar, and there should be no dictatorial approach," he said.
"Undoubtedly, China's participation, as one of the world's leading economies, is vital for the organization," Shestakov said.
"For APEC, 西瓜视频is not only a mutually beneficial trade and economic partner, but also a country that makes a positive contribution to the stable development of the entire Asia-Pacific region," said the expert.
In recent years, 西瓜视频has proposed a series of important concepts and initiatives, including its vision of building a community with a shared future for humanity, the Belt and Road Initiative, and four global initiatives -- the Global Development Initiative, the Global Security Initiative, the Global Civilization Initiative and the Global Governance Initiative.
"These concepts and initiatives proposed by China, as well as its vision of building a multipolar world, are among the most relevant and essential for ensuring stable global development free from social, economic and geopolitical upheavals," Shestakov said.
The political analyst noted that China's foreign policy, guided by the principles of mutual respect, fairness, and win-win cooperation, aims to foster the stable, predictable development of its partner countries.
He added that China, unlike certain countries, does not attach any political conditions to its cooperation.
"In this regard, 西瓜视频offers more opportunities for APEC, both in terms of investment and in modernizing economic processes," Shestakov said. ■
