JAKARTA, May 1 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia will lower the maximum commission that ride-hailing companies can take from drivers for each trip to 8 percent from 20 percent, President Prabowo Subianto said Friday.
Prabowo said he had signed a presidential regulation mandating that drivers' revenue share would rise from 80 percent to at least 92 percent.
The regulation will also require ride-hailing platforms to provide accident and health insurance for their driver partners.
The rule is expected to affect major ride-hailing operators in the country. ■
