VIENTIANE, June 30 (Xinhua) -- The Association of Private Education in Laos organized a workshop aimed at introducing the practical applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in education, with the goal of enhancing foundational AI knowledge among private school principals and teachers nationwide.
The event brought together 120 participants, including entrepreneurs, school administrators, principals, and educators from Lao capital Vientiane as well as the provinces of Xieng Khuang, Bokeo, Luang Namtha, Luang Prabang, Vientiane, and Bolikhamxay, according to a report from the Lao Ministry of Education and Sports on Monday.
Speaking at the event, Khamsen Sisavong, president of the association, emphasized the importance of this training session in integrating AI into education to enhance teaching and learning across Lao private schools.
Following the workshop, participants explored subject-specific AI applications aimed at increasing efficiency and effectiveness, particularly in helping students with research, analysis, and information gathering in today's digital era.
The session aimed to equip educators with practical AI skills and strategies to transform their teaching methods and better support students in a rapidly evolving educational landscape. ■
