BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, July 2 (Xinhua) -- Brunei's food industry players were urged to work together to turn scientific knowledge into practical applications, a senior government officer said on Wednesday.
Food importers, manufacturers, regulators, and farmers need to support research, build strong food systems, adopt cutting-edge technologies for detecting early risks, and train workers with the latest food safety knowledge, said Hajah Tutiaty Wahab, permanent secretary at the Ministry of Industry and Primary Resources, at a workshop conducted by the Brunei Darussalam Food Authority (BDFA) near the capital on Wednesday.
The BDFA stated that it remains steadfast in its commitment to advancing and safeguarding food safety for the public benefit. ■
