KABUL, Sept. 17 (Xinhua) -- The Afghan government has utterly rejected U.S. President Donald Trump's recent claim on its fight against illicit drugs, insisting that the country is going to win the war against narcotics and bring the menace to zero.
"The claim that Afghanistan has failed in the fight against narcotics is tantamount to unawareness of the reality in Afghanistan. Such a claim about Afghanistan is against the reality, and we entirely reject it," said deputy spokesman of the administration Hamdullah Fitrat, quoted by the state-run Radio and Television of Afghanistan on Wednesday. ■
