NEW DELHI, Nov. 8 (Xinhua) -- India's federal civil aviation ministry Friday night said the technical issue at Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, which caused hundreds of flight delays across the country, has been resolved.
Airports Authority of India successfully addressed a technical issue in the Automatic Message Switching System (AMSS) at Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, which had temporarily affected the processing of flight plan messages from Nov. 6, 2025, the ministry said in a statement.
The AMSS has now been restored to normal functionality, the ministry said.
Reports said nearly 800 flights were delayed at the Delhi airport after a major technical glitch hit its air traffic control system on Thursday evening, disrupting flight planning and causing a ripple effect across multiple airports. ■
