Malaysia's crude oil, condensate production up 1.1 pct to 183.6 mln barrels in 2025

KUALA LUMPUR, March 4 (Xinhua) -- Malaysia's crude oil and condensate production increased by 1.1 percent year-on-year to 183.6 million barrels in 2025, official data showed Wednesday.

The Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) said in a statement that this growth was supported by higher crude oil production as well as stronger condensate performance, which expanded by 6.1 percent.

In terms of composition, crude oil accounted for 67.9 percent or 124.6 million barrels, while condensate contributed 32.1 percent, or 59 million barrels.

On a quarterly basis, crude oil and condensate production rose 4.5 percent year-on-year in the fourth quarter of 2025, with total production amounting to 47.8 million barrels.

Meanwhile, Malaysia's natural gas production recorded 2.94 trillion cubic feet. Its latest quarter production registered 784 billion cubic feet, contracting by 1.1 percent year-on-year.
