WASHINGTON, Jan. 3 (Xinhua) -- The restrictions around the Caribbean airspace are expiring at 12:00 am (0500 GMT Sunday) and flights can resume, U.S. Transportation Department Secretary Sean Duffy said on X.
In a post, he noted that airlines are informed, and they will update their schedules quickly.
The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration on early Saturday morning barred U.S. aircraft from flying at any altitude within Venezuelan airspace following reports of explosions in Caracas, citing "safety-of-flight risks associated with ongoing military activity." ■
